With 5 chart-topping hits, a massively successful debut album, and a unique sense of fashion, Lady GaGa is undeniably one of the most successful breakout artists today. Her growing number of fans and even detractors is a proof of her stellar star power.
However, with popularity comes controversies. Some questioned her real identity, while the others critiqued her style of clothing. In such issues, a horde of her fans never leaves her side and continues to support her.
Speaking of her fans, some people say that majority of GaGa's fans are members of the gay community. In fact, when she won "Best New Artist" on the MTV Video Music Awards, she credited the gay community, along with God, for her first moonman.
Could it be because GaGa just loves the gay community? Or is it because of her pink songs?

Some of her songs actually has a "gayness" attached to it.
For instance, the ubiquitous "Poker Face", according to GaGa herself, actually talks about bisexuality. The chorus itself might give a clue, ‘coz at first she says "he", and then her back-up singers would say "she", unless its an exchange of thoughts between the two genders.
Same goes with "Love Game" whose video actually shows the singer kissing with another woman. Despite including the "disco stick" in the lyrics, the song can still be interpreted in many ways.
Her openness to the gay community might actually be one of the key ingredients that she needs to sustain her power in the music industry.
One thing's for sure, though. Lady GaGa is proud of the gay community, and the gay community, in return, will always be proud of GaGa and her pink music songs.
